ABOUT

I was born and raised in Genoa, Italy the granddaughter of ship captains—so staying in one place, or doing just one thing, never felt like an option. I grew up with a spirit of independence and curiosity, passed down through generations who believed in exploration, resourcefulness, and doing things differently.

From an early age, I traveled and lived abroad, studying and working in England, Australia, California, the Cayman Islands, and Hawaii. Though I studied business management and international trade and marketing for the fashion industries, I was always drawn to the creative process: blending colors, textures, and forms—whether in clothing, interiors, objects, or even food.

My Creative Journey

My career has unfolded across several disciplines, always grounded in a passion for quality, aesthetics, and storytelling. In New York City, I became involved in a number of creative endeavors, the most significant of which include:

  • Starting at Donna Karan International, DKNY Active Division, in the Merchandising and Production departments

  • 19 years as New York Bureau Senior Editor for Collezioni, an international fashion and design publishing group (10 titles), covering fashion shows, trade fairs, and events across prêt-à-porter, haute couture, bridal, accessories, interiors, baby and kidswear, tabletop, and textiles

  • Producing and styling editorial photoshoots—fashion, beauty, lifestyle, food, and interiors—for Vanity Fair Italy, Bon Appétit, Real Simple, Parents, and The New York Times Magazine

  • Working with luxury interiors firm Katch I.D. in NYC

  • Founding Affinità Moderne, a custom-made home linens brand featured in AD, Vogue Bambini, Elle Decor, and Interior Design

To support and enrich my work, I’ve pursued hands-on training in related disciplines, earning certifications in Floral Design (Brooklyn Botanic Garden), completing a culinary apprenticeship at the Natural Gourmet Institute in New York, and undertaking STCW Basic Safety Training at Maritime Professional Training in Florida, preparing me to collaborate on creative services for yacht interiors.

Where I Am Now

Today, I divide my time between New York City, Italy, and Mexico City, collaborating with professionals and designers on interiors, styling, sourcing, and creative consulting. I speak Italian, English, Spanish, and French, and work closely with an international network of artisans, creatives, and specialists who share my dedication to quality, material integrity, and thoughtful design.

At the core of everything I do is a desire to create environments, objects, and experiences that are deeply considered—emotionally resonant, beautifully made, and attuned to how people actually live and move through the world.
